Based in Portland, Oregon, Don’s expertise spans the region’s most productive fisheries, from Buoy 10 to the Portland salmon runs. His in-depth knowledge of seasonal fish patterns, local weather, and river conditions allows him to consistently put guests on Chinook and Coho salmon, summer steelhead, sturgeon, halibut, Dungeness crab, bottom fish, and walleye.

Raised with a deep respect for the river and the communities that rely on it, Don has built his career on more than just skill—he values patience, teaching, and making each guest feel welcome.
